The global fin-tech company, Mastercard, has partnered the trio of Austin ‘JayJay’ Okocha, Toke Makinwa, and Chef Fregz to offer premium entertainment experiences to its cardholders in Nigeria.
The African football and Super Eagles’ legend alongside Nigeria’s media personality and the celebrity chef respectively will discuss many topical issues including sports and culinary on the Priceless.com platform.
Mastercard will be leveraging its expertise to create exciting physical events online in a series of local Digital Priceless Experiences, the organiser said in a statement on Thursday.
“As part of the new line up, Jay-Jay Okocha will be discussing his illustrious career with Toke Makinwa.
“Throughout the session, fans will have an opportunity to ask their priceless questions by registering on priceless.com, as there will also be limited signed merchandise on registration.
“And in a separate session, culinary enthusiasts can watch Chef Fregz cook up a storm in the kitchen alongside Toke.
“Registered participants will receive the ingredients list ahead of the session so they can have their own private cooking lesson with the talented Nigerian chef. Mastercard cardholders can register for both sessions at www.priceless.com” it added.
Commenting on the premium virtual event, Ifeoma Dozie, Director, Marketing and Communications, Sub-Saharan Africa, Mastercard, said “At Mastercard, through our long-established Priceless experiences platform, we have an opportunity to continue connecting consumers with their passions.
“We are adapting our traditional sponsorships, leveraging our partnerships and creating new, digital ways of bringing once-in-lifetime moments into people’s homes.”
It will be recalled that the Priceless Experiences are not limited to Nigerian celebrities, as they span the globe and passion areas, all featured on Mastercard’s experiential lifestyle hub Priceless.com.
People can enjoy intimate acoustic musical performances, gameplay insights from the pros, private cooking lessons from celebrity chefs, training sessions with renowned fitness experts, behind-the-scenes tours of some of the world’s most famed destinations, and more. Visitors can also access additional exclusive content from global celebrities, experts and ambassadors on the site, the organiser said.
Also commenting, Beatrice Cornacchia, Senior Vice President Marketing and Communications, Mastercard Middle East & Africa, said: “Mastercard has brought consumers closer to their passions for decades, and we are constantly adapting our approach to do this in relevant and meaningful ways. We will continue to evolve as a brand and develop our approach with consumers at the heart of everything we do and bring value to cardholders.”
