Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis handed them Greek passports on Sunday on the Greek island Antiparos, publishing a picture of the couple with their new documents on his Instagram account.

Hanks and Wilson were due to receive Greeks passports earlier, but could not pick them up due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hanks converted to the Orthodox faith in 1988 and owns a house on Antiparos together with Wilson, who has Greek roots on her mother’s side and was raised in the Christian Orthodox tradition.

Tom Hanks won two Oscars for his roles in the films “Forrest Gump” and “Philadelphia.” Wilson is a also active in the film business as a producer.
