An Africa-wide football reality TV show, The Goal Africa, has kicked off in Nigeria.

The show, according to a statement from the Project Director, Chidi Nwafor Paul, is aimed at creating a platform for young Africans to express themselves while acquiring new skills using their passion for football as a vehicle to reach greater heights.

The Goal Africa football reality show is aimed at empowering football fans across the world beyond just participation while also promoting youth empowerment. It promises to be fun, sporty and engaging,” he said.

He added that the housemates, who are expected from countries across the African continent, will be harboured in a house for 30 days.

“Participants representing football clubs around the world will be engaged with intelligent tasks centred around football and creativity to test their in-depth knowledge of the game.

“At the end of the show, one winner with an embodiment of Talent, Creativity, Patience, Tenacity and Dedication will emerge,” he noted.

While urging prospective participants to register for the show free of charge on its website, the project director further said that participants stand a chance to win N15 million (Naira) worth of prizes at the end of show which would be aired on several platforms including Startimes, DSTV and YouTube.

“It is a known fact that football has a very strong unifying factor as seen across the world and as such, this show seeks to harness that to the fullest cutting across all works of life. It is indeed the first of its kind,” Chidi stated.
