As the world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, a Muslimah charity organisation, Bountiis has announced plans to empower Muslim women entrepreneurs on how to source for Halal (lawful) capital to keep their businesses afloat amidst the negative impact of the virus on the society.
A statement on Thursday by Bountiis media partner, Nahimah Ajikanle-Nurudeen, who is also the Founder/Lead Strategist of TenticP Communications, stated that the event is part of the Muslimah charity’s Entrepreneurship Series.
The webinar event tagged: “The Search for Halal Capital”, according to her, would hold on Sunday, August 23, 2020 by 11am via Zoom.
She said the event is targeted at women who are in need of funds to establish or sustain an existing business.
“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so many people and businesses have serious financial issues. It is now more obvious that we all need money to start a business or boost existing businesses.
“The webinar, is therefore, a response to addressing worries and concerns of both existing and aspiring Muslim women entrepreneurs on ways to access finance for their business through interest-free loans,” she stated.
She added that representatives from different financial institutions across Nigeria will educate participants on business development challenges and opportunities at the webinar.
The webinar is also expected to feature speakers from Jaiz Bank Plc, Takaful, African Alliance Plc., Sterling Alternative Bank, Zero Interest Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Trustbanc Digital Bank, and TajBank, she noted.
