The Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District comprising five local government areas of Karu, Nasarawa, Keffi, Kokona, and Toto, Senator Aliyu Wadada, has donated a brand-new Sharon vehicle to the chairman of the National Association of Transport Owners (NATO) in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The beneficiary, Hon. Sidi Maiwada, is also the deputy chairman of NATO in the state, the Director-General of Maiwada Sidi Motors Transport Limited as well as the chairman of Power-Bike Riders Association in the state.
While speaking shortly before handing over the car keys to Maiwada, the Director-General of Senator Aliyu Wadada’s Campaign Council in Nasarawa state, Alhaji Bello Ramalan, who represented the senator, congratulated Maiwada on the gift he received from his principal.Â
He stated that Senator Wadada considered it appropriate to reward him for the significant contributions he has made toward the progress of the senator’s political activities in Keffi LGA and the state at large.
He added that Maiwada truly deserved the gift, as he is one of the key individuals that Senator Wadada greatly values in his political journey till date.
Alhaji Ramalan further explained that he believed the gesture would motivate Maiwada to continue his good work in ensuring Senator Wadada’s success, especially now that preparations for the 2027 elections are underway.
Our correspondent reports that Senator Wadada is one of the leading governorship aspirants from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State.
In his response after receiving the car, Maiwada expressed gratitude to Senator Wadada for the generous gift, noting that this was not the first kind gesture he had received from the Senator.
According to him, the senator had previously executed several development projects for his community, which included installing modern solar-powered streetlights, donating new motorcycles, drilling boreholes, and other significant initiatives in Keffi LGA.
Maiwada added that the car donation would greatly enhance his efforts toward ensuring Senator Wadada’s victory in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
He promised to continue doing everything within his power to support Senator Wadada’s ambition to become the next governor of Nasarawa state in 2027.
